Our very articulate and personable exchange student, Pedro, was our guest speaker today, he gave a powerpoint presentation giving us an insight to Brazilian life and culture. If you would like to see a detail of his presentation please visit our website: http://www.petalumavalleyrotary.org/pedro/
Pedro spoke about the political aspects of Brazil, its climate, beautiful cities, including Rio de Janeiro, what it is most proud of, especially the Amazon, soccer, and its beautiful wildlife Pedro showed us a bit about its food and music, the special time of the year before Easter when carnival is celebrated. Brazil, as a country has also excelled in its development of alternative fuels and aircraft.
Pedro has learned to speak excellent English and says that among other valuable lessons being an exchange has taught him how much he loves his own country and appreciates it even more.
