| December 1, 2006 Another great Holiday Party with the PVR crew....If you missed it....well, we missed you! Here's so of the cheer to share, so you don't have to wish you were there! ![]() Lots of kids this year....all dressed up for Santa Claus and the party! Here are the Downeys...you can tell by the smiles! Some of the family members were experienceing their first Holiday Party! Here is the Cabrillo family in full holiday spirit! ![]() So...we drank a little wine, had a few hors d'oeurves and made merry exchanging ornaments before dinner, accompanied by that maestro of the keys, Will Johnson. ![]() ![]() Some of the winers and diners..Moe and Marcia Sally, our Party chair lady and President to be...with Sheila who, as usual, was in charge of seeing everyone had enough to eat! And we did! Though some of the guests brought their own dinner in a bottle! Like the newest addition to the Garner household.![]() But most of us feasted on pasta with pesto sauce, tri-tip and chicken as served byJimmy Mastretti....delicious...and there was even ome left over! ![]() While the diners dined...the PVR mixed choir sang the following to the tune of "My Favorite Things". Short lines at Costco and lower gas prices
After dinner there was some real sports action as the kids all took a
few swings at the piñata. Here is the other Garner son showing
great form and determination! Shandi is going to have her hands full!Things I can read when I can’t find my glasses Not tied all the time to a cell phone that rings These are a few of my favorite things Coffee that’s decaf and non-transfat noodles Armchairs and Netflix and wine when there’s oodles Getting my flu shot when it doesn’t sting These are a few of my favorite things When the tax bites, when the weight gains When my feet are bad I simply remember my Rotary Friends And then I don’t feel so sad Working on getting clean water for drinking Helping a village to get what they’re needing Ridding the World of what Polio brings These are a few of my favorite things I like my Club, we are great friends And we get things done With our committees and singing these ditties Service can be such Fun! ![]() While the kids gathered candy, the assembled sang some of our favorite Holiday songs...ending with a rousing "Here Comes Santa Claus" ...and, by gum, there he was! OK....lots
of children got to sit on his lap first, and get their gifts. There
were too many to include here...and way too cute to leave any out.
